Andante Reference

Why haven't I made a tuxedo cat yet? THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL.

So this is a new character I drew up today, though I've had this idea in mind for weeks now.
He's a musical cat who plays the cello in an orchestra, has very good manners, loves shiny things, and is a total wimp.

I wanted a fancy sounding name, but I thought a musical term might suit a musical cat. So his name is Andante. Which means 'a slow and moderate pace'. It sounds nice though! xD

Personality: Andante is a rather reserved cat. He would much prefer to spend his time alone than with others, and keeps his friend groups rather small. However, when he is playing his cello or even talking about music he is a completely different cat; very enthusiastic and energetic. In addition, he is rather vain, spending more time than necessary on his fur and overall looks. He thinks very highly of himself, and does boast for quite a while if you get him on the topic!
Underneath all his more negative traits, however, one can find a loyal and thoughtful friend who will stick by your side until the end.
Likes: Music, his Cello, Classical Music (genre), music history, playing in the orchestra, solos, autumn, the mountains, gold
Dislikes: Snow, Uneducated cats, being dirty, sports, rain and water, horses
Fears: Trains, being unable to play his music, becoming deaf

History: Andante came from a big family, with 3 sisters and 4 brothers. He was the quiet one of the bunch, though he always yearned for attention from his parents. Soon after his youngest sister was born, his father died in a train crash while on a business trip. The family's only source of income was gone. The oldest of the siblings took it upon themselves to gain money for their large family, and of those siblings included Andante. He had learned the cello in school, and began to play in a small strings ensemble for parties and weddings to earn money. By the time he had graduated and was ready to leave to university for music, his talent was quite well known around the area.
Andante had no problem in university, excelling at his music. He was very focused on being the best, however, and didn't make too many friends or find too many connections. By the time he graduated from university, though he had talent, he had nowhere to go. He spent quite a few years barely scraping by, only finding work in odd jobs and small gigs here and there. One day when he was busking on the street, an onlooker happened to notice his talent. To Andante's surprise, this cat was the director of the local orchestra, and offered a spot in it to Andante. Having no other options, and realizing his dream was about to come true, Andante gleefully accepted.
Since then, he has been doing much better and has been able to help support his family even more than in past years. Though he continues to be a rather quiet and reserved cat, he has made a few close friends, such as the violinist Cadenza.
