Appearance: Sulphur is a smaller, medium furred tom. He is constantly grooming his fur, and it is rare to ever see his fur messy and out of order. Stature-wise, he is small, almost apprentice sized, with hunched over shoulders, giving him an insecure appearance. He has wild blue-grey eyes that are constantly darting everywhere, for he is almost always on the lookout for 'spirits' that he is haunted by.

Personality: [Superstitious] [Arrogant] [Oddball] [Loyal] [Friendly] [Skittish] [Defensive] [Vain]

Superstitious :bulletred: Because of the stories he heard as a kit, Sulphur is very superstitious. He can often be seen muttering gibberish to himself or scratching odd markings in the dirt. He even often goes out of his way to avoid cats with red-coloured eyes or solid black pelts. He also strongly believes in ghosts and spirits, sometimes claiming that he is able to see and communicate with them.

Oddball :bulletyellow: Sulphur can easily be described as an oddball. Constantly mumbling to himself, talking to thin air and making odd scratches in the ground easily proves what an odd cat he is. In addition, he can also be seen counting his steps and torturing his prey before killing it.

Arrogant :bulletred: One of the downsides of his personality is that he is arrogant. Sulphur believes he is the best at everything, and won't stop at anything to prove it. He won't turn down a challenge, and is often even seen challenging others because he is so confident in his own abilities. Because of his arrogant personality, he can also appear boastful, stuck up and a bit of a show off, though normally he doesn't mean to show those traits.

Loyal :bulletgreen: What little friends he makes, Sulphur will stay loyal to them for seasons to come. He will never betray a cat who helps him, and he will always keep his word. A promise he makes and a secret he learns, he will keep for life, nothing would be able to make him break it.

Friendly :bulletgreen: Because he has few friends, Sulphur tries to be friendly to any cat he meets. He will often walk up to a cat and start a conversation and try to hid his oddball traits he has. The only exception is that he will avoid any cat with red/pink eyes, and he will also avoid solid black cats or darkly coloured cats if possible.

Skittish :bulletred: Being the superstitious cat he is, he has become rather skittish. Always terrified that ghosts or spirits are going to grab him at any second, being on edge his entire life has made him jumpy and twitchy. Any sudden movement or surprise towards him will send him cowering or bolting.

Defensive :bulletyellow: Sulphur is a rather defensive cat, whether it be in a battle or in his relationships. He will often take the defensive part of the battle as he prefers not to fight, avoiding battles if at all possible. If a relationship becomes to close, he will often back away and become secluded and defensive to the other cat. He doesn't mean to be cold, but he just doesn't want to hurt the cat or break their heart.

Vain :bulletyellow: Sulphur is a very vain cat, spending excessive amounts of time on grooming his pelt. He can't bear to be very dirty, acting almost obsessively about it. He tends to avoid places that are muddy and dirty, and lots of the times won't help a cat if it includes him having to get his pelt dirty.

History:
Kit (0-10 moons)- Sulphur was born in a litter of two outside of the ShadowCln border, near the Stone Gardens. Sulphur and his sister Opal were inseparable. From the time of their birth, wherever one went, the other would faithfully follow. The two were always good little kits, never wandering far or getting into any more trouble than the average kit. Also on the upside, because they looked out for each other so much, they would rarely get injured, lost, or stuck someplace. Gradually as they grew older, their parents gave the two kits more and more freedom, having faith they would look out for each other and keep each other from danger.
One day though, it all went wrong. It had been raining hard earlier that week, and most of the puddles and rainwater was still around. Opal and Sulphur were playing beside a stream when Sulphur accidentally pushed his sister in. She was swept away by the stronger current, and disappeared out of sight. Sulphur ran downstream, only finding her hours later face-down in the water, dead. In terrified and in shock, the kit fled from the scene, deep into the surrounding woods.

Being a kit and on his own, Sulphur didn't fare very well. Within a few days, he was starving, without shelter, and slowly dying. A group of loners found the kit and decided to rescue him. The cats introduced themselves as Starling, Jericho, Timothy, Ice and Nightingale. Sulfur immediately took to liking these cats, and he began to follow them around, even after he was strong enough to head on his own way. By day, the cats would train him in the survival basics- hunting, finding water and shelter, and scavenging. During nighttime, the cats would share stories. The stories that the cats shared were unlike the ones that the average kit heard before bed. The cats told stories of unnatural phenomenons, disappearances, and spirits coming back to haunt cats and places.
After a while of staying with these cats, Sulphur began to have nightmares about his sister, and soon he even began seeing her in the daytime, just out of the corner of his eye. The dreams and visons of his sister grew in intensity each day, and soon he was debating leaving the group of cats. He was finally pushed over the edge to leave when Ice and Nightingale mysteriously died in their sleep, no warning before and no sign of the cause of their death.

Apprentice (10-21 moons)- Sulphur wandered around for a while, somehow reaching the ThunderClan border. Not knowing what it was and what it signified, he crossed it and walked nearly to their camp before they found him. They took him to their leader so they could figure out what to do with the young tom, and while he was in their camp, Sulphur was enthralled. He marveled at the structure and safety of clan life, and quickly asked the leader if he could join the clan. The leader was a bit taken aback, but agreed and renamed Sulphur 'Yellowpaw'. Yellowpaw was assigned a mentor by the name of Leafspots, a beautiful young she-cat. He quickly learned the clan's ways, and loved being a part of the clan. He finally felt like he fit in.
Although Yellowpaw himself thought he fit in well, other cats didn't think so. Sulphur was still having visions of his sister, and had recently taken to talking to her. The other cats, of course, couldn't see who he was talking to, and dubbed him as crazy and insane. In addition, he was skittish, and always acted nervous and uncomfortable at the mention of StarClan. As he grew closer to his warrior ceremony, the ThunderClan cats began to teach him more about StarClan, and he was terrified. The tales of the starry spirits of dead cats scared him, as he related them to the stories he heard as a kit. After his warrior ceremony, where he was named 'Yellowrock', he fled during the night, never looking back.

Loner (21 moons to present)- He still wished he was in the clan life, though he would never admit it if any cat asked him. He wanders around outside the can territories, constantly hopeing to get a glimpse of the clan life he both loves and hates. This leaves him in the position he is in today, a harmless loner without a purpose.

Other:
-Sulphur often has hallucinations, mostly of his dead sister, Opal. He can often be seen talking to thin air, though in his mind, he is talking to his sister. It is unknown why he has these hallucinations, though it is most probable is is from post traumatic shock or some other aftermath of his sister's death.
-His name can alternately be spelled 'Sulfur'. Sulphur is the British form of spelling it, and Sulfur is the American form. I chose Sulphur partly because I'm Canadian and I lean towards the british way of spelling, and also because Warriors is set in Britain.
-Ironically, though his marking is a fish, he is terrified of water.
-He is afraid of black cats because of stories he heard as a kit about two-leg witches and their demonic black cats

Role-Play Sample:
Robinpaw padded into the clearing and grabbed a frog from the fresh-kill pile. It was dawn, and the morning air was still chilly and damp. Wolfing down his meal, he looked around. A few cats were up and about, but most were still sleeping in their dens.
"I wonder where Pariahstar is..." He murmured to himself, finishing the last of his frog. Standing up, he walked over to the camp entrance to wait. He flicked his tail impatiently, where was that cat? Sure, he had leader duties to do, but he also had an apprentice too
